A driver mounted a pavement to bypass Just Stop Oil protesters after they refused to move so he could attend a hospital appointment.

Video footage captured by LBC reporter Henry Riley showed the man branded one activist a "weasel" as he was held up on the Old Kent Road in South East London.

The protesters were asked by a police community support officer to allow the man to drive through the protest in order to attend a hospital appointment.

But when one activist says he doesn't believe the situation is an emergency, the motorist takes matters into his own hands by mounting the pavement to swerve around the protesters.

The Telegraph has contacted the Metropolitan Police for comment.

A banquet held by Just Stop Oil (JSO) protesters has been disrupted by practical jokers with alarms and helium balloons.

Video activists Josh Pieters and Archie Manners arranged for someone to infiltrate the protest group posing as an activist concerned about climate change.

The undercover mole took part in direct-action protests and was also invited to JSO's Beyond F***** Banquet where activists could “grieve for what will die, but also to celebrate what we have achieved.”

Three Just Stop Oil activists have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage after they threw orange powder over an award-winning garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Flow.

Three activists dressed in white Just Stop Oil T-shirts staged a protest inside the RBC Brewin Dolphin Garden, designed by Paul Hervey-Brookes, after stepping over a rope barrier at 9am on Thursday.

One Just Stop Oil activist said 'What use is a garden if you can't eat?' as the three female protesters were later named Stephanie Golder, 35, Naomi Goddard, 58, a retired landscape engineer, and Rosa Hicks, 28.

Phones were thrown and activists were shoved during an environmental protest. Organization Just Stop Oil posted video from a May 19 protest where members walked in the middle of an east London street slowing traffic to a human pace. One person seemed to be fed up. He took protesters' banners and appeared to knock a cell phone out of a person’s hand. After the banners were thrown onto the sidewalk, a woman was pushed to the ground. The organization says the marches will continue.

Just Stop Oil protesters have thrown orange powder on the Natural History Museum's huge replica dinosaur in their latest stunt.

The Titanosaur: Life as the Biggest Dinosaur exhibition was closed on Thursday 26 October after two men, both medics, staged a protest beneath the 121ft replica skeleton.

Dr Will Stableforth, a consultant gastroenterologist, and Steve Fay, a physiotherapist, covered the gigantic model in orange cornstarch.
They were also seen holding a banner that read: “For health’s sake Just Stop Oil.”

"FYI the skeleton is a replica. we face losing more than replica bones if new oil and gas goes ahead," a statement from Just Stop Oil read, after the incident.

An angry motorist in Germany took matters into his own hands and unleashed a can of pepper spray on climate activists blocking peak-hour traffic in Berlin last week.

Climate activists from the Last Generation group were staging protests in Berlin, Germany on September 18 when the incident occurred.

They blocked key roads during rush hour, leading to traffic jams and queues of furious commuters beginning the working day.

The group's goal is to raise awareness about the threat of global warming and push for stronger government action on greenhouse gas emissions.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has defended his controversial ULEZ scheme despite it being blamed for Labour's loss in the Uxbridge by-election.

He said: "I am quite clear though, the policy to expand the Ultra Low Emission Zone is the right one. It was a difficult decision to take. But just like nobody will accept drinking dirty water, why accept dirty air?"

London has become the world’s largest pollution charging area after the ultra-low emission zone (Ulez) was expanded to include the whole of the capital.

People who drive in the zone in a vehicle which does not meet minimum emissions standards are now required to pay a £12.50 daily fee or risk a £180 fine, reduced to £90 if paid within 14 days.

TalkTV’s Julia Hartley-Brewer clashes with climate activist Donnachadh McCarthy over the Ulez expansion.

Donnachadh: “Londoners voted for a Mayor to clean up their air and he's delivering it."

Julia: “Well, more fool them, Londoners will get what they deserve if they vote for him!”

In an interview with the PA news agency, the Labour mayor said: “The vast majority of Londoners want to see clean air and I recognise there are some Londoners with genuine concerns.

“My job is to try and address those concerns and I have been doing that.”

Mr Khan said he was “disappointed” at the lack of Government support for the policy and its accompanying scrappage scheme.

He expressed frustration that the scrappage programme has no Government funding, unlike those run in several other English cities.

He said: “It was this Government that gave financial support to cities like Bristol, Birmingham and Portsmouth towards their clean air zones.

“If clean air is right for them then why isn’t clean air right for London?”

Actor and political activist Laurence Fox is reported to have been arrested by the Metropolitan Police.

The Met confirmed that a 45-year-old man had been arrested on ‘conspiring to commit criminal damage to ULEZ cameras and encouraging or assisting offences to be committed’.

The confirmation of an arrest came shortly after Fox was seen surrounded by police officers in his home in social media videos.

Laurence Fox was just sacked by GB News, after he made offensive sexual comments about journalist Ava Evans on air last week.

GB News host Dan Wootton was also suspended for failing to challenge Fox’s comments.
