Police officers tried to maintain a ring of steel around the Cenotaph ahead of a huge march in solidarity with Palestinians. As chants of 'England till I die' and 'Let us through' echoed close to the war memorial police reinforcements raced to contain the mob as they jostled to be allowed to join the large crowds gathered. Dozens broke through a human barrier which appeared to be directly outside Scotland Yard, and police could be seen hitting out at those through with batons, as some of those gathered threw bottles towards officers.

Turkish police used tear gas and water cannon as hundreds of people at a pro-Palestinian rally on Sunday tried to storm an air base that houses US troops, hours before US Secretary of State Antony Blinken was due in Ankara for talks on Gaza.

Turkey, which has stepped up its criticism of Israel as the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has worsened, supports a two-state solution while hosting members of the Palestinian militant group Hamas. Since the Israel-Hamas war started, protests have erupted across the country.

Earlier this week, the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, an Islamist Turkish aid agency, organised a convoy to travel to the Incirlik air base in the Adana province in southern Turkey to protest Israeli attacks on Gaza and US support for Israel.

Incirlik, which has been used to support the international coalition fighting Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, also houses US troops. IHH's protest called for Incirlik to be closed.

Footage from the protests showed police firing tear gas and using water cannons to disperse crowds waving Turkish and Palestinian flags and chanting slogans. Protesters toppled barricades and clashed with police in riot gear.

Video recorded by Lucas Bryant shows a grey Audi collide with a parked car before skidding off and colliding with the taxi.

London Police confirmed to Storyful that a 22-year-old man was subsequently arrested in connection to the event and taken to hospital with an arm injury.

THIS is the chilling moment a criminal slashed a man to death in broad daylight.

Evil Ernesto Ellliot carried out the brutal murder after he was saved from deportation by a Labour MP and several celebs.

The Jamaican national was due to be sent home on a Home Office flight in December 2020 after being convicted of knife crime.

However, thanks to a last-minute human rights appeal his deportation was avoided, reports MailOnline.

A man has been jailed after a knife attack on a teenager on a Victoria Line tube.

Amarjay Nkemayang, 19, of Crawshay Road, Lambeth, London, pleaded guilty to Wounding with Intent and possession of an offensive weapon at the Old Bailey on 22 May.

He was sentenced to 6 years 4 months imprisonment, with an additional 15 months for possession of an offensive weapon to run concurrently.

On the afternoon of 23 November 2022, Nkemayang and 3 other males met the 16-year-old victim outside a sports shop in Brixton and followed him into Brixton Underground station. Both the victim and Nkemayang entered the northbound Victoria Line service on the same carriage via different doors.

Once on the train, Nkemayang took out his "Rambo-style” knife and stabbed the victim in his left side, causing a 3cm deep wound. The victim armed himself and a knife fight ensued in front of petrified members of the travelling public. BTP officers intercepted the train at the next station, Stockwell, where Nkemayang was arrested and the knife seized. He answered no comment in his police interview.

The victim and Nkemayang were not known to each other.

HUNDREDS of protesters gathered in London on Monday (October 9) following the unprecedented terror attacks by Hamas forces.

Waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans such as: "we will not be silenced," protesters said the people of Palestine are the ones paying the "highest price" for a conflict that has been ongoing for decades.

Hamas is a terrorist group which rules the Gaza strip and came into being in 1987.

Its name is an Arabic acronym for the Islamic Resistance Movement.

Hamas as a whole, or in some cases its military wing, is designated a terrorist group by Israel, the US, the EU, and the UK, as well as other powers.

Over the years, Hamas has carried out a number of attacks in Israel.

Israel was stunned when Hamas launched its multi-pronged offensive on Saturday - with at least 3,000 rockets raining down as fighters infiltrated towns and stormed a music festival.

A man was arrested on Whitehall after an officer was 'struck in the head with an object' - witnesses claim the weapon was a megaphone. Police medics looked after the officer as they made their way to the hospital. It comes around the same time that a shocking video was shared online of a group of police officers tackling a protestor to the ground. The 20-second clip showed three Met police officers restraining the suspect as seas of people surrounded the dramatic incident while screaming in shock.

Albanian criminals and migrants are boasting how to remove “British Rolex” ankle tags as Suella Braverman signalled a potential expansion of the electronic devices’ use.

The Albanians have posted TikTok videos showing how to cut off their tags, dubbed “British Rolexes”, using nothing more than kitchen scissors. They boast that it enables them to abscond despite the threat of jail or other sanctions for breaching their immigration bail.

Hundreds of Albanians have been tagged as part of their immigration bail after arriving illegally in the UK on small boats across the Channel, or as a precursor to their deportation after being released from prison.

It’s Remembrance Day and thousands of pro-Palestine demonstrators are marching through central London, from Hyde Park to the US Embassy.

For weeks, the government have stoked fears of the sanctity of Remembrance Day being desecrated, describing it as a hate march and reprimanding the police for not banning it, despite the march going nowhere near the cenotaph.

As a result, hundreds of football fans and far-right agitators felt compelled to turn out and defend it.

Terrifying footage captures the moment a youth on a bike pulls a large knife on a motorist in broad during the middle of the day. Three people have been injured, one of whom seriously, following a brawl at a Kabaddi tournament in Derby amid reports of gang violence involving guns and swords.

Armed police were called to a large disturbance at Elvaston Lane recreation ground in Alvaston just before 4pm on Sunday.

Huge crowds including families and young children had gathered at the park to watch a kabaddi tournament, a popular team sport first played in India and played in Asian communities across the UK.

Witnesses say the event was ruined after clashes broke out reportedly among rival gangs.

Videos and pictures uploaded to social media show chaotic scenes of crowds fleeing after gunshots were supposedly fired.

Footage also appears to show men brandishing swords as kabaddi players lay on the ground to protect themselves.

Witnesses say as many as 20 police vehicles were called to the scene at the height of the trouble.

Derby resident Jas Uksingh wrote on Facebook: "What was supposed to be a positive and welcome return of our national motherland Punjabi sport of Kabaddi in Derby, has sadly ended in shameful circumstances.

"Gang violence is not acceptable at sporting events, and should not be tolerated with the community. The UK Kabaddi Federation must take necessary steps and safeguards to stamp this thoughtless violence out from national tournaments.

"I hope those injured are not too serious and make a full recovery."

A Derybshire Constabulary statement said: "We were called to a large scale disturbance in Elvaston Lane, Alvaston at 15.51 on Sunday 20 August.

"Three people have been injured, one seriously. They have all been taken to hospital. There is a large police presence in the area and officers are expected to remain at the scene for some time."

Kabaddi is an ancient form of contact sport, combining wrestling and martial arts. Its name is from the Sanskrit “Kar-badhi”, which means “holding through hands”, and it is played in two teams of seven.

Sunday's tournament was advertised on the England Kababbi Federation website as part of a series of summer events. The Telegraph has contacted the Federation for comment.

Speaking after the violence, some players voiced fears the violence could restrict the staging of future tournaments in the UK.

Manga Mithapuria Powar wrote on Facebook: "Once again another Kabaddi Tournament in Derby has been ruined!

"This appalling behaviour is not acceptable, the tournament was full of families and children which were also at risk today with what has happened!

"If this kind of behaviour continues then our mother game is over. No one will be bringing kids here because of the fear of shots being fired again."

"Kabaddi players and the audience should not have to be involved in this risky situation. All these situations will make it harder for the future as councils will not give permission for Kabaddi matches."

Witnesses claimed the argument began around Mile End station on Saturday night when the woman in a red skirt and the Asian man got into a verbal row. The man is said to have asked a passenger: 'Are you racist? What you just said is racist' - before the woman replied: 'This is nothing to do with you.' The Asian man also appeared in a video to say 'What you f**ing going to do, you racist motherf***er?' - and this seemed to be in the direction of another man. The woman was with a male friend who was standing in between her and the Asian man, but their verbal argument quickly led into a physical brawl.

A shoplifting row sparked a protest after a beauty shop owner was filmed “choking” a woman he accused of stealing.

Sohail Sindho, 45, the proprietor of Peckham Hair and Cosmetics, in south London, was seen restraining the woman, who he claimed attempted to take items from his shop.

She became violent after he blocked her exit, he said.

Police said a woman had been arrested on suspicion of assault and later bailed.

A demonstration opposing violence against women and the black community was held outside the shop on Rye Lane on Tuesday, after footage of the incident emerged online.
