A driver mounted a pavement to bypass Just Stop Oil protesters after they refused to move so he could attend a hospital appointment.

Video footage captured by LBC reporter Henry Riley showed the man branded one activist a "weasel" as he was held up on the Old Kent Road in South East London.

The protesters were asked by a police community support officer to allow the man to drive through the protest in order to attend a hospital appointment.

But when one activist says he doesn't believe the situation is an emergency, the motorist takes matters into his own hands by mounting the pavement to swerve around the protesters.

The Telegraph has contacted the Metropolitan Police for comment.

Protesters at Gunnersbury Avenue, west London were cleared by police by 9am but managed to cause havoc at the peak of the rush hour as the climate activists targeted commuter hotspots.

More than 60 Just Stop Oil protesters have been arrested after the activist group carried out a demonstration in Westminster on Monday morning.

Demonstrators laid down and sat on the floor of every corner of Parliament Square after marching around the central London road in orange hi-vis jackets.

Many of the protesters were then placed into handcuffs by police after refusing to move off the floor.

The Metropolitan Police posted on social media: “Officers have arrested 62 Just Stop Oil activists who were in the road in Parliament Square”.

TalkTV’s Peter Cardwell is joined by Just Stop Oil spokesperson Alex De Koning as they furiously disagree on the protest.

Peter: “One of the biggest polluters in the world is China - why don’t you protest there and see how far you can get?”

Alex: “That’s honestly such a childish response Peter.”

Recently we showed footage of a silver Peugeot trying to get eco-protesters to move their roadblock by driving towards them.

When the protesters didn't move the car kept going and the two activists held onto the car's bonnet.

This footage shows the incident from a different angle.

A German Just Stop Oil protest group called Letzte Generation, Last Generation, had two members pushed along a busy road as they clung to the front of a moving car.

Drivers caught in Insulate Britain protests have started taking matters into their own hands as activists claimed to have been sprayed with ink.

The eco mob blocked two sections of major roads into London after warning its "non-violent civil resistance" would continue on Wednesday.

However, some motorists' patience finally wore out, as one man knelt in the road to play bagpipes loudly to an activist's face.

Other protesters appeared to have been sprayed in the face with ink or dye as they sat on the road.

A banquet held by Just Stop Oil (JSO) protesters has been disrupted by practical jokers with alarms and helium balloons.

Video activists Josh Pieters and Archie Manners arranged for someone to infiltrate the protest group posing as an activist concerned about climate change.

The undercover mole took part in direct-action protests and was also invited to JSO's Beyond F***** Banquet where activists could “grieve for what will die, but also to celebrate what we have achieved.”

Two Just Stop Oil activists have been jailed for up to three years, after causing traffic gridlock when they scaled a bridge on the Dartford Crossing in October last year.

Organization Just Stop Oil posted video from a May 19 protest where members walked in the middle of an east London street slowing traffic to a human pace. One person seemed to be fed up. He took protesters' banners and appeared to knock a cell phone out of a person’s hand. After the banners were thrown onto the sidewalk, a woman was pushed to the ground. The organization says the marches will continue.

London mayor Sadiq Khan accused the Government of “weaponising air pollution” ahead of his expansion of the capital’s ultra-low emission zone (Ulez).

In an interview with the PA news agency, the Labour mayor said he was “disappointed” at the lack of Government support for the policy and its accompanying scrappage scheme.

From Tuesday, the Ulez will be expanded to include the whole of the capital, making it the world’s largest pollution charging area.

People who drive in the zone in a vehicle that does not meet minimum emissions standards are required to pay a £12.50 daily fee or risk a £180 fine, reduced to £90 if paid within 14 days.
