Sadiq Khan's Deputy Mayor for the Environment, Shirley Rodrigues faces calls to resign her post over the revelations she sought to interfere with scientists hired by the Mayor's office. Sadiq Khan relies upon their research as evidence to back up his unpopular Londonwide ULEZ expansion.

At the London Assembly's Plenary, Emma Best AM brought forward a motion condemning the Mayor and his team's behaviour, and calling for ULEZ to be cancelled as a result.

Only the Conservatives on the London Assembly voted to support this motion.

A paper by the Imperial College of London revealed that the ULEZ scheme only reduced nitrogen oxide by around 3%. This minimal impact has raised doubts about the efficacy of the scheme and whether it justifies the financial burden placed on motorists.

Furthermore, it has been revealed that the college's environmental research group, which published the statement supporting ULEZ, was paid nearly a million pounds by Khan's office since 2021. This financial connection has understandably angered critics who question the impartiality of the research.

Tory MP Steve Tuckwell says ULEZ was the number one concern of voters who elected him to replace Boris Johnson, and former Tory MP Nick de Bois tells Jeremy Kyle that Sadiq Khan's ULEZ scheme is "all about the money."

Actor and political activist Laurence Fox is reported to have been arrested by the Metropolitan Police.

The Met confirmed that a 45-year-old man had been arrested on ‘conspiring to commit criminal damage to ULEZ cameras and encouraging or assisting offences to be committed’.

The confirmation of an arrest came shortly after Fox was seen surrounded by police officers in his home in social media videos.

Laurence Fox was just sacked by GB News, after he made offensive sexual comments about journalist Ava Evans on air last week.

GB News host Dan Wootton was also suspended for failing to challenge Fox’s comments.

The Ulez expansion cut the number of older, more polluting vehicles being driven in Greater London by 45 per cent but has cost drivers about £26million in levies and fines in its first month, it has been revealed.

An average of 95.2 per cent of vehicles now comply with the exhaust emission rules – resulting in 77,000 fewer non-compliant petrol and diesel vehicles being driven in the capital each day, down from 170,000 to 93,000.

Howard Cox, a London mayoral candidate and founder of Fairfuel UK, strongly opposes the increase in parking charges in London. He believes that politicians are demonizing drivers and using them as easy cash cows.

Cox argues that the charges are excessive and unjust, especially considering that driving is often a necessity for many people. He suggests focusing on clean fuel technology and incentivizing people to switch to cleaner fuels instead of penalizing them financially.

He also criticizes the notion that drivers are the main source of pollution, pointing out that other factors such as public transportation and underground systems contribute significantly more to pollution levels.

Mr Cox accuses London Mayor Sadiq Khan of committing "highway robbery" against drivers in London.

King Charles III tripped on a roll of artificial grass during his visit to Kenya with Queen Camilla.

The royal couple were being guided through the Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery in Nairobi on Wednesday morning (1 November), when he nearly took a tumble.

Footage shows the King briefly losing his footing as Camilla reaches out to grab him.

Charles quickly recovered and smoothly put his sunglasses on to continue the walk.

The King and Queen took part in an act of remembrance alongside British and Kenyan troops during their visit to the ceremony.

King Charles is due to open parliament for the first time as monarch

The King and Queen unveiled statues of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in prime positions on the front of the Royal Albert Hall. After the ceremony both attended the annual Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance, along with other members of the Royal Family.

President Biden’s European trip got off to an unsteady start Monday, as the 80-year-old commander-in-chief appeared to grab on to King Charles III for support seconds after arriving at Windsor Castle.

Video of the greeting between the two men showed Biden punctuate his handshake with the 74-year-old Charles by reaching out to touch the British monarch’s right arm, causing the king to glance down in apparent surprise.

Biden then put his hand on Charles’ back as the two leaders walked to a reviewing stand before greeting some of his majesty’s forces. The president walked with a noticeably stiff gait, which his physician noted in a report from February had worsened since he broke his foot in late 2020.

The King's address to parliament wasn't all smooth sailing as he was greeted by crowds of anti-monarchy protesters on his route back to Buckingham Palace.

The group of Republican activists chanted "not my king" and "down with the crown" as the monarch's carriage drove past.

The King’s speech to parliament marked the first King's speech since 1950.

In the speech The King delivered Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's agenda for the upcoming year, including tougher sentences on violent offenders and increasing economic growth.

The monarch also paid tribute to his late mother Queen Elizabeth's years of devotion and service in his historic address.

King Charles was left confused when he was asked this question.

He couldn’t help but inspect the woman’s nails during a visit to Scotland.
