The Beatles - I've Got A Feeling (Official Video)

The song is a combination of two incomplete songs: "I've Got a Feeling" by Paul McCartney, "Everybody Had a Hard Year" composed by John Lennon in the "White Album" sessions.

McCartney's unfinished song "I've Got a Feeling" was written for his soon-to-be-married girlfriend Linda Eastman, telling her that she was the girl he had always wanted. Lennon's song is a litany in which each line begins with the word "everybody" ("everyone"). Although McCartney's song was quite upbeat, Lennon had had a bad year: he divorced Cynthia Powell, he separated from his son Julian, his girlfriend Yoko Ono had a miscarriage, he was arrested for drug possession, and he was increasingly discontent in the group. In the movie "Let It Be," Lennon joked that he wrote "Everybody Had a Hard Year" the night before.
