Raw video: Street racing ends in fiery crash on Texas highway

One person was arrested after police said two cars appeared to be racing on Sam Rayburn Tollway in Lewisville on Wednesday night. Video from @JuniorWash12 on Twitter.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said the crash happened just after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on the southbound lanes of Sam Rayburn Tollway near Standridge Drive.

DPS said a Ford Mustang and a 2016 Chevrolet Corvette were suspected to be racing in the southbound lanes when the Mustang allegedly rear-ended a 2018 Hyundai Elantra that was not involved in the racing.

The impact from the collision caused the driver of the Mustang to veer into the Corvette's lane, officials said, causing another collision. The driver of the Corvette then veered into the median and rolled over.
