In this episode we're exploring the Central Islip State Hospital on Long Island, New York. Started as the Farm Colony for Manhattan State Hosptial in 1899, the facility operated until 1996. Soon after, NYIT used various buildings before leaving the campus unoccupied in 2017.

In this episode, we're exploring the abandoned Richmond Town Square Mall just outside of Cleveland. Originally opened in 1966, it was one of the largest of its time and was an early example of the American shopping mall. It closed in 2021 and is awaiting demolition for a new mixed-use development.

'King Charles Makes Jolly Joke At Farm Visit'

The King made a jolly joke about the weather on a trip to open the MacRobert Farming and Rural Skills Centre in Cumnock, Scotland, on Saturday.

Speaking to students who attend the rural skills insutition, King Charles was overheard asking if they like being outside, before adding "despite the weather!".

The new centre will bring new talent into the farming sector, and enable The Prince’s Foundation to host events and hands-on workshops for more than 1800 participants a year.

King Charles III led a moving Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph in London on Sunday morning (12 November).

The nation fell silent at 11am, to honour those who died in conflict with a two-minute silence.

Wreaths were then laid by members of the royal family, senior politicians and dignitaries at the Cenotaph, where almost 10,000 veterans and 800 Armed Forces personnel from all three services took part in a march-past.

Thousands of members of the public also lined Whitehall to watch the service.

We’ve dealt another legal blow to Sadiq Khan’s ULEZ expansion.

The High Court will now hear two additional grounds challenging the lawfulness of the Mayor’s cash grab.

I’m in Cudham, one of the rural villages where Labour wants to impose ULEZ, to explain what this means.

London mayor Sadiq Khan accused the Government of “weaponising air pollution” ahead of his expansion of the capital’s ultra-low emission zone (Ulez).

In an interview with the PA news agency, the Labour mayor said he was “disappointed” at the lack of Government support for the policy and its accompanying scrappage scheme.

From Tuesday, the Ulez will be expanded to include the whole of the capital, making it the world’s largest pollution charging area.

People who drive in the zone in a vehicle that does not meet minimum emissions standards are required to pay a £12.50 daily fee or risk a £180 fine, reduced to £90 if paid within 14 days.

TalkTV’s Kevin O’Sullivan is joined by The Sun’s Trevor Kavanagh to discuss Sadiq Khan’s ULEZ expansion.

“They’ve set off the fuse to a really big and explosive confrontation with the general public.”

Some opponents of Ulez expansion claim the policy is aimed at generating money for TfL and criticised the mayor for introducing it during the cost of living crisis.

But Mr Khan said: “I am quite clear in relation to the evidence I have seen that the consequences of air pollution is heartbreaking when you have spent time with a bereaved mum.

“It’s really heartbreaking when you get an in-patients ward and see the consequences of air pollution, but also it is inspiring to see that some of these policies can transform people’s lives.”

An angry audience has booed activists who disrupted a stage performance of Les Miserables in London's West End.

Police were called to the Sondheim Theatre at around 9pm local time on Wednesday.

It's alleged four individuals launched themselves on stage and waved banners during a song about revolution.

They fixed themselves to the stage with bike locks before the venue was evacuated.

Five people have been arrested.

Footage posted online showed one man shouting at activists: 'I have to go to hospital... stop interfering with us'.

Just Stop Oil protesters have been dragged off the roads by desperate motorists after bringing traffic in central London to a standstill on the ninth day of demonstrations.

He received applause as he began hauling the seated demonstrators off the road and onto the pavement. At least one other motorist was seen helping him to shift the protesters.

The eco-activists were holding their latest demonstration near London Waterloo station when suddenly the group of young men took over. Footage shows one of the men, dressed head-to-toe in pink, running behind the group's orange banner, chanting: 'We love you oil, we do!' His friends then cheer as he rips the sign out of the hands of the protesters and runs away, twirling it in the air before throwing it on the ground. In another video, an onlooker can he heard reprimanding the group and saying: 'You're stopping people going to the hospital who need treatment.'

Just Stop Oil protestors tried to prevent people boarding the Bibby Stockholm barge in Portland on Thursday.

New footage show how the attempt began, with the climate activists storming the bridge to get to the Bibby Stockholm bus.

As the eco-protesters tried to halt the progress of the bus they also stopped a blue car that was in front of the bus.

Several men dismounted from the bus and told the driver of the blue car to 'drive through them' as the protesters 'will move'.

A number of people were being taken on board the vessel at the Dorset port more than two months after it was evacuated following the discovery of Legionella bacteria in the water supply.

Just Stop Oil has accused the driver of a coach carrying migrants to the Bibby Stockholm barge of 'trying to kill' them during a protest on Thursday. Members of the eco activist collective had tried to block the vehicle (left) as it took asylum seekers back to the barge for the first time since it was evacuated following the discovery of Legionella. However, the bus forced its way through 23 demonstrators who had walked into the road and tried to sit down in front of it while holding a large orange banner. The eco zealots has since accused the driver of having 'intent to kill' as it 'rammed through the block' on its way to the vessel which is currently docked in Portland , Dorset. The protest group also shared an image of a man (inset) they accused of encouraging a member of the public (right) to 'drive straight through' the demonstrators, and demanded an investigation into whether he worked for the Home Office.

'God almighty, I want to cry!': Van driver vents fury at Just Stop Oil clowns. The video, which was filmed outside the Palace of Westminster shows a horde of activists opening up placards in the street and beginning to trudge down the road. After begging with the protesters to leave the road and let him by, the van driver is seen being approached and spoken to by a member of the group, who condescendingly tells him they have 'no choice' but to act.

Thousands of drivers who have failed to pay the new Greater London Ulez have been sent warning letters rather than £180 fines, it can be revealed.

Transport for London has confirmed that many motorists have escaped an immediate penalty as it pursues a phased approach to enforcing the Londonwide ultra-low emission zone.

Letters headed “Ultra Low Emission Zone contravention warning notice” have begun arriving at the homes or workplaces of drivers who failed to pay the £12.50 daily levy this week.
