After fixing coral into a new nursery bed, the King stands on the sandy beach at Kuruwitu Conservation Area and watches a boat take the newly restored coral nursery out to sea.
Charles III also speaks to the local coastal community about their efforts to turn small spaces into successful gardens.

King Charles led the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph today.
The annual service acknowledges the service of military and civilian personnel, and commemorates those who died in the service of their country. Remembrance Day is on the 11th of November each year, but the main national ceremony is held on the Sunday nearest to the 11th.
This is the second time King Charles has led the national ceremony as monarch. Queen Camilla and Princess Catherine looked on from a balcony above.
Big Ben chimed eleven times at 11am to start the two minutes of silence. The eleven chimes are symbolic of the end of the First World War, which ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918.
King Charles laid the first wreath, followed by his son, Prince William, and his sister, Princess Anne.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, the Leader of the Opposition Keir Starmer and all living former Prime Ministers also attended the ceremony.

The King was spotted enjoying what appeared to be a glass of Pimm's as he attended a reception on the flight deck of the Royal Navy Frigate HMS Iron Duke.
His Majesty donned both sunglasses and an umbrella as he and Queen Camilla braved the changeable weather during the visit, which aimed to highlight the defence ties between the UK and France.

The Royal family have been unequivocal in their condemnation of Hamas’s terrorist attacks on Israel.
King Charles said that he was “appalled” by the “barbaric acts of terrorism”, while the Prince and Princess of Wales said they were “profoundly distressed” by the “horrors inflicted”.
But the King also became the most senior member of the Royal family to visit the Occupied Palestinian Territories in 2020, when he told local leaders: “It is my dearest wish that the future will bring freedom, justice and equality to all Palestinians.”

The King and Queen will travel to Africa this week to celebrate the “warm relationship” between the UK and Kenya.
They were invited by President Ruto and are visiting as Kenya prepares to celebrate 60 years of independence in December.
It will be His Majesty’s first visit to a Commonwealth nation since becoming King and travelling to Kenya is symbolic.
Charles has visited East Africa multiple times as a Prince including in 2007 when he joined his mother in Uganda and in 2022 when he became the first British Royal to make an official visit to Rwanda.
