A DeSoto County school bus driver is on leave after she refused to let elementary school students off of her bus.

What teachers described as “absolute chaos” erupted May 4 during the Slater Middle School lunch period, the latest in what teachers and staff in Sonoma County’s largest school district say is an ongoing problem with safety and discipline across campuses.
During the Slater melee, a teacher and an administrator were knocked to the ground as dozens of students — possibly 150 or more — swarmed between fights and refused commands to break up, teachers said.
The altercation followed similar unrest during the morning brunch break, teachers said.
In the wake of those incidents, a team of veteran staffers who regularly volunteer to supervise students during brunch and lunch told Slater Principal Mitch Tucker on May 15 they refuse to continue until the district offers more adult support on campus.

A group of students at a middle school in Georgia pranked their principal by staging a cafeteria fight, only to have it turn into a birthday surprise for her. Footage of the cute moment was shared on TikTok, where it has amassed more than 10M views.

‘I wanted to participate because of course I would do anything for my principal. And it was her birthday so why not?’ Sa’dymond Anderson, one of the students involved in the fake fight, told local affiliate WALB.

DRAMATIC moment a single-engine plane piloted by Queens Assemblyman Clyde Vanel experienced an engine malfunction and had to make an emergency landing along a beach in Long Island, New York, on March 17.

No injuries were reported, according to local news.

Video recorded by Caelyn Canace, who happened to be walking her dog on the beach while on a lunch break, shows the plane landing on Long Island’s Shoreham Beach.

“You can imagine, it was not a regular walk on our beach,” Canace told Storyful. “I realized that something did not look right, and then I was thinking, oh my god this plane was going down.”

Vanel posted to Facebook, saying that after his aircraft experienced an “engine failure,” he “landed the airplane at the nearest safe location, while attempting to minimize damage to persons or property.”

“I am thankful that I was able to walk away without injury,” Vanel said.

Similarly, other early aviators such as Alberto Santos-Dumont and Percy Pilcher also suffered crashes. These accidents and failures were seen as an unfortunate but necessary part of the process of developing the technology and understanding the principles of flight.

For those of you interested on how I make my videos, I primarily use Final Cut Pro X to edit my videos. I use different stock footages (both free and paid), clips of videos that I can find related to the video and search images to visualize the narrative and story that I’m trying to tell. I hire different researchers and writers for the script for each video along with my our original commentary and hire different voice over actors that can properly convey the the theme of the video. Most importantly, find the best background music, usually royalty free from Incompetech to create an exciting atmosphere while watching the video.
