The King and Queen unveiled statues of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in prime positions on the front of the Royal Albert Hall. After the ceremony both attended the annual Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance, along with other members of the Royal Family.

King Charles is due to open parliament for the first time as monarch
King Charles will celebrate his 75th birthday on the 14th November and his plans have been revealed. Celebratory events will be hosted at Highgrove Gardens and Dumfries House for organisations and individuals also turning 75 in 2023.
The King and Queen will visit a food distribution outside London on his birthday and launch The Coronation Food Project. A reception will also be held to celebrate nurses and midwives working in the United Kingdom.

King Charles III tripped on a roll of artificial grass during his visit to Kenya with Queen Camilla.
The royal couple were being guided through the Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery in Nairobi on Wednesday morning (1 November), when he nearly took a tumble.
Footage shows the King briefly losing his footing as Camilla reaches out to grab him.
Charles quickly recovered and smoothly put his sunglasses on to continue the walk.
The King and Queen took part in an act of remembrance alongside British and Kenyan troops during their visit to the ceremony.

King Charles led the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph today. The annual service acknowledges the service of military and civilian personnel, and commemorates those who died in the service of their country.
Remembrance Day is on the 11th of November each year, but the main national ceremony is held on the Sunday nearest to the 11th.
This is the second time King Charles has led the national ceremony as monarch. Queen Camilla and Princess Catherine looked on from a balcony above.
Big Ben chimed eleven times at 11am to start the two minutes of silence. The eleven chimes are symbolic of the end of the First World War, which ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918.
King Charles laid the first wreath, followed by his son, Prince William, and his sister, Princess Anne.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, the Leader of the Opposition Keir Starmer and all living former Prime Ministers also attended the ceremony.

King Charles III led a moving Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph in London on Sunday morning (12 November).
The nation fell silent at 11am, to honour those who died in conflict with a two-minute silence.
Wreaths were then laid by members of the royal family, senior politicians and dignitaries at the Cenotaph, where almost 10,000 veterans and 800 Armed Forces personnel from all three services took part in a march-past.
Thousands of members of the public also lined Whitehall to watch the service.

Sadiq Khan’s office is being accused of ignoring scientific warnings on ULEZ.
Private emails reveal that scientific findings suggest the scheme to reduce carbon emissions did not show enough of an impact.
Conservative MP Paul Scully acknowledges the original ULEZ in the centre of London has an impact but the same was not true for the expanded regions, as the further you get out of the centre, the less impact it will have.
“So much open green land in Enfield and people being charged £12.50” adds Paul.
The pair also discuss the GLA website stating that white families “don't represent real Londoners.”

London mayor Sadiq Khan accused the Government of “weaponising air pollution” ahead of his expansion of the capital’s ultra-low emission zone (Ulez).
In an interview with the PA news agency, the Labour mayor said he was “disappointed” at the lack of Government support for the policy and its accompanying scrappage scheme.
From Tuesday, the Ulez will be expanded to include the whole of the capital, making it the world’s largest pollution charging area.
People who drive in the zone in a vehicle that does not meet minimum emissions standards are required to pay a £12.50 daily fee or risk a £180 fine, reduced to £90 if paid within 14 days.
TalkTV’s Kevin O’Sullivan is joined by The Sun’s Trevor Kavanagh to discuss Sadiq Khan’s ULEZ expansion.
“They’ve set off the fuse to a really big and explosive confrontation with the general public.”
Some opponents of Ulez expansion claim the policy is aimed at generating money for TfL and criticised the mayor for introducing it during the cost of living crisis.
But Mr Khan said: “I am quite clear in relation to the evidence I have seen that the consequences of air pollution is heartbreaking when you have spent time with a bereaved mum.
“It’s really heartbreaking when you get an in-patients ward and see the consequences of air pollution, but also it is inspiring to see that some of these policies can transform people’s lives.”

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has declared he will press ahead with extending the capital’s ultra low emission zone (Ulez) after five councils failed in their legal bid to stop him.
He described the High Court judgment as a “landmark decision” and pledged to “do everything possible” to address “any concerns Londoners may have” about the scheme’s expansion on August 29.
The outer London boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Harrow and Hillingdon along with Surrey County Council – all led by the Conservatives – launched legal action in February over the Labour mayor’s proposals to extend Ulez beyond the North and South Circular roads to include the whole of the city.
Global Action Plan’s Andrew Pendleton and anti-ULEZ campaigner Alan Miller clash over Sadiq Khan’s policy.
Alan: “It’s an unnecessary, unjustified, unacceptable, undemocratic imposition.”
Andrew: “The thing about air pollution is that if affects all of us, for all of our lives and every organ in our body.”
