A woman was attacked and robbed of her belongings on Tuesday at around 06h05 by four assailants while crossing a riverbed in Windhoek’s Cimbebasia suburb. Namibian Police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi confirmed the incident in a statement released on Thursday. The four suspects are unknown. It happened over the weekend in the Ridgewood section, and it's the latest example of an alarming increase of robberies across New York City. CBS2's Tim McNicholas has the exclusive video.

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery Homicide Division detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred near the area of 6th Street and La Brea Avenue. The response of officers resulted in the arrest of two suspects.

On November 26, 2022, at 12:31 p.m., LAPD Wilshire Division officers received the report of a robbery at 6th Street and La Brea Avenue. The response of patrol officers to the scene led to a pursuit of the suspects, who fled in a vehicle.

The suspect driver collided with an unrelated vehicle, resulting in minor injuries to that driver and one of the robbery suspects, who was taken into custody at scene. The second suspect fled that traffic collision on foot and entered another waiting vehicle, which also fled from the scene.

A second pursuit of that vehicle was initiated, and the robbery suspect fled on foot from that vehicle. The second suspect vehicle and driver eluded pursuit, but the initial robbery suspect was contained in a perimeter and later located by LAPD Metropolitan Division K9 officers.

A gun was recovered from the suspects during their arrest, also recovered was the victim’s Rolex watch.

The case is in its early stages and the case will be presented to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office for filing consideration in the coming days.

The crime is being investigated by detectives assigned to the Follow Home Task Force out of LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division, which was created by Chief Michel Moore in November of 2021 in order to address the increases in violent robberies which had a similar pattern, where unsuspecting victims were robbed of expensive watches or jewelry items when returning home from dining or entertainment, mostly from the Hollywood or Wilshire Areas of Los Angeles.

The two suspects that were arrested are Tyler Dumas, a 20-year-old resident of Los Angeles and Edwin Witty, a 19-year-old resident of Los Angeles. Dumas (Booking No. 6508333) was booked for one count of California Penal Code (P.C.) 211 P.C. – Robbery, with $1,000,000 Bail. Witty (Booking No. 6508336) was booked for one count of 211 P.C. – Robbery with a bail of $1,000,000. It is believed that both may be wanted for other robberies in the Los Angeles Area. Anyone with information related to this or any other follow-home robbery is urged to call Robbery Homicide Division’s Detective Jennifer Hammer at (213) 486-6840. During non-business hours, or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247). Toronto police say three suspects shot their way out of a Scarborough shopping centre after making off with thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from a jewellery store Thursday evening.

It happened at Majestic City, at Markham Road and McNicoll Avenue, shortly before 6:30 p.m.

Police have not released any descriptions of the suspects so far. Nobody was injured.

Police want your help finding a suspect in a brutal assault and robbery in Upper Manhattan that was caught on video.

A video showing an attempted robbery at an Atlanta was released by Crime Stoppers in Atlanta to aid in the search for the suspect on Thursday.

It happened on Monday, July 3, according to the Atlanta Police Department, at Nail First, situated at 2625 Piedmont Rd. NE.

Surveillance footage reveals a man entering the establishment wearing a distinctive blue hat, sunglasses and blue jeans. Upon entering, the suspect immediately demanded that everyone get on the ground and hand over their money.

Despite the suspect's demands, the video shows patrons and employees choosing not to comply. Most individuals remained in their positions, seemingly unswayed by the suspect's threats. However, one woman near the door opted to exit the premises while the suspect was occupied, attempting to gain control over the situation.

The suspect, with his hand inside a bag, can be seen pacing briefly inside the establishment before ultimately deciding to leave without further confrontation. The video captures the suspect exiting the premises and fleeing the scene in a silver sedan.

In their efforts to bring the suspect to justice, the Atlanta Police Department is relying on the assistance of the public. Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the individual in the video or possesses any relevant information to come forward.

Knife-wielding moped robbers are exploiting the longer days and busier streets to target West End shoppers in a crimewave which has seen hundreds of designer watches stolen this year, police have warned.

Shocking footage emerged this week of a man and a woman having their watches violently snatched in broad daylight in Chelsea, west London, by a masked gang armed with knives.

The attack, filmed by an onlooker on Monday, shows the woman lying in a doorway trying to fend off one balaclava-clad man, while another is repeatedly punching her male companion in the face.

The restaurant customer who shot and killed an armed robber is coming forward. The drama erupted at a restaurant in Houston, Texas. An armed robber ordered everyone in the restaurant to hand over their money. As the gunman walked by, an armed customer fatally shot the robber. The customer then took off in a pickup truck before police arrived at the scene. Surveillance video shows the victim of an attempted robbery fighting back against one of his attackers, and shooting another.

It happened just before 2 p.m. Monday in the 4200 block of East Cheltenham Avenue in the Wissinoming section of Philadelphia.

Police say two armed men jumped out of an SUV and one of them tried to rob the 47-year-old victim.

Video released by Philadelphia police shows a struggle between the two. Police say the victim managed to wrestle a gun away from his attacker.
